FOLLOWING POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE:

ASPHALT POSITION

Skilled role focused on asphalt paving, repair, and maintenance projects.

Some positions currently available are:

EXPERIENCED Asphalt Paver Operators, Minimum 2 years experience
EXPERIENCED Asphalt Raker & Roller Operators, minimum 2 years experience
EXPERIENCED Skid steer and Skip Loader Operators, minimum 2 years experience

Basic Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Rakes Asphalt to maintain level mat.
Ensures that a consistent rock size is maintained.
Shovel-Add and remove Asphalt.
Sweep work area clean.
Clean paver.
Must have proper skills and experience for asphalt work.
Must comply with OSHA and all J&S Safety requirements
Continuously stand, bend and reach during shifts
Lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements

Asphalt rakers and equipment operators must have a minimum of 2 years of experience

(Experience shall be verified)

Must have reliable transportation or means to travel to and from jobsites/shop
Must be in good physical condition

CONCRETE POSITION

Expertise in forming, pouring, and finishing concrete for various projects.

Some positions currently available are:

Experienced Concrete Finishers and Form Setters

Basic Responsibilities & Qualifications Include:

Smooth and finish concrete surfaces, such as ADA sidewalks, sport courts, and steps.
Concrete forming
Rebar bending, tying and Installation
Use saws to cut expansion joints
Knowledge of commercial concrete construction
Tenacity, energy, and strong work ethic
Good communication skills and ability to work with a team
Experience operating a Skid steer and/or other heavy equipment (Desired but not required)

Continuously stand, bend and reach during shifts
Lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of Finishing is required (Experience shall be verified)
Must possess your own tools
Must have reliable transportation or means to travel to and from jobsites/shop
Must be in good physical condition

SEALCOATING/ STRIPING/SPORT COURTS

Responsible for applying sealants, line striping, and finishing.

Some positions currently available are:

Seal Coat Laborer
Seal Coat Foreman
Striping Laborer
Sport Court Laborer

Basic Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Wear all required safety equipment
Cleaning and prepping concrete/asphalt surfaces before applying concrete/asphalt/sport court products
Safely handle and apply hot/cold crack filler
Safely handle heavy concrete wheel stops & installation
Dig holes for new sign poles/steal bollards using caution
Handle two-part epoxy for various applications
Properly follow direction given by foreman
Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team
Continuously stand, bend and reach during shifts

Lift up to 50 pounds

Foreman Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Must be able to read and execute Construction Project plans
Meet with Manager (Superintendent) every morning to discuss project
Make sure your work area is secured and safe to the public and workers at all times
Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team
Strong work ethic
Interact with customers and document any changes to scope of work
Train new employees
Ensure that you and your team are always wearing the proper PPE

CLASS A DRIVER POSITION

CDL drivers responsible for transporting materials, tools, and equipment to and from worksites.

Position available is:

EXPERIENCED CLASS A Driver:

The successful candidate will split their time between driving and working on paving projects.

Basic Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Safely operate Class A vehicles including dump trucks, trailers, and flatbeds
Transport heavy equipment such as pavers, rollers, skid steer and skip loader to job sites
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
Perform labor tasks including raking, shoveling, and spreading materials and sweeping
Help with crack filling, seal coating, and other surface maintenance tasks
Load and unload materials and equipment (training provided)
Continuously stand, bend and reach during shifts

Lift up to 50 pounds

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
2+ years of commercial driving experience
Experience with asphalt or concrete paving (preferred, but not required)
Willingness to perform general labor duties and assist crews with asphalt and concrete work
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physically demanding tasks
Strong teamwork and communication skills
